Greeting from the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club!!
Time flies when you’re having fun and we sure are having a good time at the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club. As we move into late April and Early May, we have had to say goodbye to many of our friends who have left us for the northern climes. I hope they summer well and will be glad to see them right back here in the fall. A sure sign that summer is approaching is that Jason Richards (BBGC Green Superintendent) has verti-cut all the greens (removes the thatch) and fertilized tee boxes. An application of chipco also was applied to the course to keep the insects away from eating the roots of the grass plants. Many have told me that the golf course hasn’t played nor looked better! Thanks you to Jason and his crew.
Derek Ankrum has placed orders for new merchandise in our golf shop. Look for new clothing and equipment soon. We will have some new demo clubs to try out, if you like it will special order the club for you. We said good bye to a few of our golf employees that went north for the summer. Jason Crow and Tom Conway went to try their luck playing tournaments up north. Thanks to all our outside bag staff under the direction of JZ. They do a great job!
The 2013 Belleview Biltmore Golf Club Club Championships are completed. Congratulations to Men’s and Women’s Champion, Denny Spencer and Noy Hunter. Denny was the Club Champion in 2010, 2011, 2012 and now 2013. Noy has won the Women’s Championship in 2011, 2012, and now 2013. That’s quite a legacy of Championships. Congrats to 1st place Low Net: Tom Olsen. In the Men’s A flight, 1st Low Net winner was Dale Justice and 2nd Place Low Net was Richard Ianello. Our Women’s 1st Place Low Net winner was : Leslie Springer. It took a while to get your trophy engraved but they are ready for pick up in the golf shop now. Thanks to all who participated.
On April 13th, the BBGC Men’s Interclub won at Cypress Run. This makes a run of two months in a row that our team has won. We also had the overall 3rd Place team this month of Lou Giocondo and Marvin Baily.
Brittany Alspaugh, Tanya Lenio and Cyndi Fickes are ready to serve! It sure is nice to come to BBGC and have such a good qualified Food and Beverage staff. I would be remiss to not mention our Beverage Cart staff of Ariel Bauer and JennyO’Hair who are always ready to serve and with a smile. Kent, Freddie and Herlindo keep producing delicious food coming from our kitchen.
In closing it’s the people that make a Club great, with the member’s of BBGC and our fine staff, it’s been pleasure to serve you. Keep it down the middle!!
